On April 30th, CMA announced that from May 15th to 31st, 2024 (the loading date in the originating port), they will adjust the new FAK rates from Asia to the Western Mediterranean, Adriatic Sea, Eastern Mediterranean, Black Sea, and North Africa (Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco). The FAK rate for the Eastern Mediterranean will be $6300/FEU, and the highest rate for North Africa will be $7800/FEU. As the rainy season approaches, so does the traditional china green tea consumption season, particularly in West and North Africa. With the biggest EID holiday on the horizon, a significant quantity of China green tea will be consumed. However, we are currently facing challenges in the shipping industry, including a shortage of containers and limited space availability.
